WHAT DOES THE MANAGERS AND PROFESSIONALS TEST CONSIST OF?

The Managers and Professionals test consists of 50 questions testing your HS&E knowledge from 16 core areas and 3 speciality areas. The tested areas consist of:

  • Legal and Management: General responsibilities, accidents and reporting
  • Health and Welfare: General health and welfare, first aid and emergency procedures, perosnal protective equipment, dust and fumes (respiratory hazards), noise and vibration, hazardous substances, manual handling
  • General Safety: Safety signs, fire prevention and control, electrical safety tools and equipment, site transport safety and lifting operations.
  • High risk activitities: Working at height, excavations and confined spaces.
  • Environment: Environmental awareness and waste control
  • Specialist activities: Construction (design and management) regulations, demolition, highway works.


WHICH CSCS CARDS CAN I APPLY FOR WITH THIS TEST?

This is the recommended test for the following types of CSCS card:

  • Black Coloured (e.g. Manager)
  • White Coloured (e.g. Academically qualified person, Professionally qualified person)

The card you can apply for will be subject the related qualification you hold.


WHO IS THIS TEST FOR?

The Managers and Professionals Test is designed to ensure that every site manager demonstrates both:

  • A fundamental understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices, and
  • Knowledge of what should (or should not) be done given a set of circumstances,
HOW LONG DOES THE TEST LAST?

The Specialists Test has a time limit of 45 minutes.
